photo of the day
All my life I have noticed structures, sunlight, shadows, reflections, see the beauty in decay.
I passed things by that catched my eye, thinking ‘I should take a picture of that one day’. Like a rainbow, sunlit dew on a spiderweb or a reflection in a puddle. But I didn’t.
Then one day I apped a picture to a friend whom I thought could use cheering up at the time. For the first time I stopped to take a picture of that rainbow. The next day of that spiderweb. It became a daily ritual. Forcing myself to search for beauty in every single day, even when it didn’t necessarily always come easy, eventually might have helped me get through ‘more difficult times’ myself more than cheering anyone else up, where it all began with.
